AARON Finch enters Sunday’s World Cup final as vulnerable to swing bowling as he’s ever been and is desperately hoping the MCG comes to his rescue.

WHETHER by accident or design, in-form Steve Smith is a product of Michael Clarke’s captaincy and Australian cricket is better for it.

IMAGINE if Shane Watson won the man of the match award in the World Cup final. It could redefine his entire career. The masses might have to - gulp - applaud him.

GUI Finkler’s brace — the winner a superb curling effort — has given the Victory a 2-1 win over the Mariners after the hosts fell behind at AAMI Park.

THE Hurricanes have scored a bonus point win over a disappointing Melbourne Rebels outfit 36-12 to extend their unbeaten start in 2015 to six games.

Management

Stephen GoughThe MCC manages the ground through eight departments responsible to the chief executive officer. They are:

  • Membership and Heritage
  • Events
  • Executive
  • Facilities
  • Finance and Information Systems
  • Commercial Operations
  • People and Culture

There are about 140 permanent club employees and event staff are drawn from a pool of 900-plus for match-day duties at the ground.

Staff from the Executive, Finance & Information Systems, People and Culture, Commercial Operations, Membership and Heritage and Events departments now occupy new offices on Level 3 on the northern side of the stadium.  Facilities staff offices on Level B1 and B2 of the Great Southern Stand.
