MCC Squash Section action

The MCC Squash Section was founded in 1968 and originally played out of two courts located in the Ponsford Stand at the MCG.

With the redevelopment of the northern stand in 2002 these courts were demolished and since then the Squash Section has played out of a number of different locations.

Location
Currently the Squash Section plays out of the Hawthorn Club on Glenferrie Rd and Hunts in Fitzroy.

Teams
MCC is one of the strongest clubs in Victoria fielding 21 club circuit teams, including three state grade teams. These teams range from Division A1 through to ‘F’ Grade. Thus, there are teams available for players of all levels of ability.

There are two seasons per year: Autumn Pennant which runs from February through to June and Spring Pennant which runs from July through to December.

Championships
The MCC Squash Section conducts two annual championships:

MCC Squash Section Championships
These championships are open to all financial members of the Squash Section and are played in January each year as a lead-up to the Autumn Pennant season.

MCC Members Championships
These championships are open to all MCC members. It is not necessary to be a member of the Squash Section. These championships are played in July as a leadup to the Spring Pennant season.
