IT was a dramatic final 24 hours as the European transfer window slammed shut. Here’s Deadline Day’s winners and losers from the Premier League.

CASEY Dellacqua’s bold bid to reach her maiden grand slam quarter-final has come to an end at the US Open in New York.

MICHAEL Clarke has defied coach Darren Lehmann, with Australia’s captain saying he’ll continue to speak his mind on contentious selections issues.

THE playing future of Darius Boyd is uncertain following revelations he’s been holidaying in the Greek Isles without permission from his club.

GEOFF Ogilvy extended his unlikely run through these FedEx Cup playoffs thanks to a bogey free weekend at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
