Socceroos v NZ

Socceroo Tim CahillAustralians will have the chance to show their support for the Socceroos in a World Cup farewell game against New Zealand at the MCG on Monday May 24.

The game will commence at 7.30pm and the MCC gates will open at 5.00pm.  The public gates will open at 5.30pm.

MEMBERS' ACCESS

As with other recent special events, the club has worked with the event promoter (Football Federation Australia) to subsidise entry costs for MCC members as much as possible.

As a result, MCC members and guest cardholders will be required to pre-purchase a $20 non-transferable entry entitlement that will validate their membership card to gain entry to the Reserve for this event.  

Members’ cards will not be valid for entry unless they purchase the entitlement.  Honorary Life/Cricket members and 50-Year members will not need to purchase an entitlement. Their cards will automatically be valid for entry.

Visitor tickets are now on sale through Ticketek** or in person at the club.

VISITOR TICKETS

Members may also purchase a maximum of four visitor tickets for their guests to enter the Reserve.   The cost of these visitor tickets are:

Adult                  $85
Child (6-14)        $20
Child (under 5)    Free

Please note that as members are expected to accompany their guests in the Reserve, members will not be able to purchase visitor tickets unless they have validated their own membership card for entry.

RESERVED SEATS

Reserved seats on Level 1 and 4 went off sale on Sunday May 23 at 9.00pm.  They are no longer for sale.

LONG ROOM AND BALCONY PASSES

There will be a limited number of Long Room and Balcony passes for this event under the same conditions that apply for a Category B AFL match.  That is, one Long Room pass or up to two Balcony passes for Full members and up to two Balcony passes for Restricted and Restricted Junior members. 

There will be 150 Long Room and 400 Balcony passes available from 4.00pm on Monday at the ticket windows to the left of Gate 2.

RECIPROCITY

There will be no access rights for Axcess One or VRC members within the Reserve for this event.

Members of interstate clubs/venues with reciprocal arrangements with the MCC will be able to gain access to the Reserve.
