    Sound Relief Concert

    Sound Relief LogoThe MCG will be centre stage for some of the music industry’s biggest names on Saturday March 14 when it hosts the Melbourne Sound Relief benefit concert.

    A very limited number of full-view tickets have now become available for patrons to purchase. These tickets are located on the top level of the MCG. Refer to the
    Ticketek website for further information. A limit of eight tickets per transaction applies.

    Ticketing

    There will be no Members Reserve for this event and membership cards will not grant members access to the ground for this event.

    The Long Room and Frank Grey Smith Bar have been secured as exclusive facilities for members and their guests attending the concert.

    Times

    The concert is scheduled to commence at 12.00pm and will conclude at approxiamtely 10.00pm.
    Gates 1-6 will open at 10.00am.

    Long Room & Frank Grey Smith Bar

    While all the usual bar and dining facilities in the Reserve will be public amenities for this event, members attending the concert should note that the Long Room (Level 2) and Frank Grey Smith Bar (Level 3) will be available for the exclusive use of MCC members and their guests (maximum of four per member).

    Subject to capacity, members will be able to access the Long Room and Frank Grey Smith Bar by simply producing their membership card at the entry points. Members' guests require an internal pass to gain access to these areas.

    All available passes for this event have been allocated and no further passes will be issued on the day.

    Successful applicants will receive confirmation of their application. Long Room passes will need to be collected by the member who made the booking at the passes collection window at Gate 2 before entering the venue. Guests will not be able to collect the passes.

    Given the nature of this event, the club has decided to relax the dress code for entry to the Long Room to neat casual. That is, the equivalent standard that would normally be required to enter the Members Reserve for sporting events. This standard is also applicable to the Frank Grey Smith Bar.

    Long Room Dining

    The traditional Long Room carvery will be served for lunch and dinner in the upstairs mezzanine area, while walk-up bistro-style meals will be available downstairs. The bar will operate throughout the concert.

    Members are encouraged to book for the upstairs carvery for lunch and/or dinner. Bookings will be taken on a first-in, best-dressed basis from 9.00am, Wednesday March 4 via the club website or phoning Member and Customer Services on 9657 8888.

    Please note, the sitting times of 5.30pm, 6.00pm and 6.30pm are booked out.
    The dinner sitting time of 7.15pm is now available however members can only book into this by calling the club on 9657 8888. Online bookings are not being taken for this extra sitting time.

    The concert will be a celebration of multiple music genres, with artists playing short sets packed with hits. Concert goers are encouraged to attend the concert from start to finish as major artists will be spread across the bill right from the very start of the day.

    Members are advised that no form of seating, including stools, portable chairs, fold-up chairs and walking stools are permitted into the ground, even if you have a general admission ticket on the arena.

    All proceeds from the Melbourne event will go to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
