    Long Room Wine and Food Society Dinner for MCC Members

    MCC functionAs part of the club’s 175th anniversary celebrations, all MCC members are invited to a special dinner hosted by the MCC Long Room Wine and Food Society on Thursday August 15 from 7.00pm.

    The aim of the dinner is to showcase the society, a special interest group of the MCC, to mark the 175th anniversary of the MCC and the 150th anniversary of winemaking in the Grampians region of Victoria.

    After pre-dinner drinks and canapés in the Long Room, members and guests will adjourn to the Members Dining Room for a sumptuous feast prepared by our highly esteemed EPICURE chefs.

    Our guest speaker will be Ian McKenzie, widely regarded as one of Australia's most senior and highly esteemed wine judges with more than 45 years experience in the industry.  He has been chief winemaker of three award-winning wineries and is a director of TWS.

    "If it's about wine, Ian is the man,” says Bruce Tyrell. “He has undoubtedly got the finest palate in Australia.”

    Tickets to this commemorative event cost $120 (members and guests) and members may each bring one guest.

    Bookings will be taken on a first-in, first-served basis from Thursday July 4 at 9.00am.
