Long Room Wine & Food Society May Luncheon
The next Long Room Wine and Food Society Luncheon will be held in the Long Room, with pre-lunch drinks in the Percy Beames Bar, on Wednesday May 29, 2013.
The luncheon will feature wines from Mount Avoca Winery in the Pyrenees region of Victoria and will be presented by their winemaker, William Talbot.
The wines will be complemented by a menu selected by Epicure and our wine and food master, Paul Kinross.
Members may bring up to two guests to the luncheon.
Bookings will be processed on a first-in basis and as functions are always extremely popular you will need to get your reply in early to avoid disappointment.
Although members are encouraged to mix, if you have any seating preference please indicate this in the seating request field and we will endeavour to accommodate you.
Bookings for this function will close on Thursday May 23.

Long Room Wine & Food Society Special Dinner
The society’s committee has decided to hold another special dinner in the Epicure kitchen following the very successful dinner held there in 2011. The dinner will take place on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 6.30pm for 7.00pm and is restricted to members only.
The dinner will feature wines from the society’s cellar selected by our wine and food master Paul Kinross and cellar master Ian Maguire. The wines will be complemented by a menu selected by Epicure and Paul. Each chef will be invited to talk about the dishes they have prepared.
Members should proceed to the Hans Ebeling Room (Level 2 of the Ponsford Stand, next to the MCC Reserve) and from there will be escorted to the Epicure kitchen.
As this dinner is a special function, numbers will be strictly limited to 50 members only and you are advised to book early to secure a place. Although members are encouraged to mix, if you have any seating preference please indicate this in the seating request field and we will endeavour to accommodate you. Bookings for this function will close on Thursday May 2.
