    War Veterans Group

    MCC War Veterans Group

    The MCC War Veterans Group (WVG) is formed as a group of the Melbourne Cricket Club and is subject to its rules and regulations.

    Membership 

    An applicant must be a member of the Melbourne Cricket Club and be an eligible ex-service person to be a member of an approved ex-service organisation. 

    Each applicant must complete an application form approved by the committee, setting out, inter alia, the name of the applicant, address, service details and shall include the name and signatures of the proposer and applicant.

    The committee shall receive all applications, and may reject any application not conforming to these requirements.  Their action of approval or rejection shall be noted in the minutes of the relevant committee meeting.

    Annual Subscriptions

    Annual subscriptions are due each year on September 1 for membership.  Members have three months from the due date in which to pay their subscription which is currently $5.

    The group holds three lunches a year generally during February, June and October (also the date of the Annual General Meeting). Luncheons generally take place in the Long Room (Level 2, MCC Members Pavilion).

    On Anzac Day the MCC makes available a special room, the Hans Ebeling Room, Level 2, Ponsford Stand for refreshments before and during the AFL match between Collingwood and Essendon.
