DEFENDING NRL champions Melbourne and Manly have played out a 10-10 draw after golden point failed to separate the arch-rivals at AAMI Park.

THE Storm and Sea Eagles have fought out a 10-all draw at AAMI Park. Scores, stats and SuperCoach at our match centre.

STORM winger Matt Duffie will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in his return from injury on Saturday.

IF Roger Federer is the most complete player the game has seen, then why has he become Rafael Nadal’s whipping boy?

A SPONSORSHIP deal between bookmaker Tom Waterhouse and the NRL appears to have broken down with both parties walking away from negotiations.

    WOMCC Committee vacancy

Are you interested in joining the committee of this dynamic, diverse and interesting group that promotes women’s involvement in the MCC and supports the development of disadvantaged women and girls through sport?

The Women of MCC Committee meets 6–8 times a year, usually in the early evening. View our charter and goals.

Members of the WOMCC committee vary in background and careers.  All are passionate about their sport, and are regular attendees at MCG events and MCC functions.  We aim to plan or be a key partner in four events per year.

Through these events, we have raised money and supported a range of organisations using sport to develop confidence and skills of girls and women.

These include Harmony 8 Cricket, The Catherine Freeman Foundation, The River Nile Organisation, Onside Victoria, and most recently, Sporting Camps for Women Paralympians.

This year we will be supporting Dare to Dream, a program working in partnership with YWCA (Victoria) and Westside Circus and also supported by the Melbourne Football Club.

The program aims to assist girls and young women in building their self esteem and instilling in them an “anything is possible” attitude.

To apply, please email a brief response and CV to chair Kerri Spillane prior to Friday January 27, 2012.

Applicants must be a current Full or Restricted member of the MCC.  All applications will be assessed by a nominations sub-committee of the WOMCC.

It would be helpful if you would let us know in brief dot point form about:

    • Why are you interested in joining the WOMCC Committee?
    • What skills and experience can you offer WOMCC?
    • What previous experience you have, if any, serving on similar bodies?

We aim to advise all applicants of the outcome by Friday February 17, 2012.
