Women in Wine Function 2014

The Women of the MCC group extends a warm invitation to all members and their guests to the eighth Women in Wine Function on February 12, 2014.

Our showcase winery this year is Punt Road Wines from the Yarra Valley region of Victoria.

Kate Goodman, chief winemaker at Punt Road  Wines, will join us to present the wines she has developed since joining Punt Road Wines at its inception in 2000.

Goodman, who is considered one of the “young guns” of the Australian wine industry, has had a life-long love affair with the grape.

She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science) from Charles Sturt University, while continuing to work in the McLaren Vale. Kate moved to the Yarra Valley to develop Punt Road Wines in 2000.

This year Kate will achieve another milestone releasing her own wine label Goodman Wines.

The Punt Road wine range includes a Sparkling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Shiraz and a Pinot Noir.

These premium wines will be matched with yet another delicious range of tasting plates.

Door prizes, raffles and gift bags...the tradition continues.

Bookings open Monday January 13. Members may bring up to 4 guests.
