This function is held during the third or fourth week of February and always in the Long Room where we have a capacity of 120. Both female and male members are invited along with their guests.
We aim to showcase the contributions made to the wine industry by women through wine growing and production.
The night includes a degustation menu with matching wines expertly designed by our MCC EPICURE executive chef and our guest speaker for the night.
Previous speakers have included Anna Aldridge - Wines from the Coonawarra (2007), Anna Aldridge – Katnook Estate with their new CEO, Diego Jiminez among our guests (2008), Kathleen Quealy – Quealy Wines (2009), Natalie and Katrina Pizzini – Pizzini Wines (2010), Meg Brodtmann – Southern Cross Wines (2011), Eliza Brown – All Saints Estate & St Leonards Vineyard (2012).

"Ladies who Shoot their Lunch"
The Women of the MCC extend a warm invitation to all members and their guests to the seventh Women in Wine function.
Our winery this year is Fowles Wine from the Strathbogie Ranges region of Victoria. We will be looking specifically at the label "Ladies who Shoot their Lunch", the world’s first wine range crafted to match wild game meat.
"The Ladies who Shoot their Lunch range’" includes a Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and a limited edition Merlot Lagrein Tempranillo. The 2008 Shiraz won the trophy for Australia’s Best Shiraz in the 2010 VISY Great Australian Shiraz Challenge.
These premium wines will be matched with yet another delicious range of tasting plates.
