The MCC has four teams that participate in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition.
As well as playing for the premiership at each level (firsts, seconds, thirds and fourths) in two-day, 50-over and Twenty20 cricket, the club participates for the Cricket Victoria J.A. Seitz Club Championship.
The MCC has also introduced two women's teams into the Victorian Women's Cricket Association competition.
In recent times, the MCC has performed strongly in the Second, Third and Fourth XI, winning many premierships and being regular finalists.
Captain-coach Andrew Kent led the club to some phenomenal success in 2012/13, including the First and Third XI premiership and the J.A. Seitz Club Championship.
In April 2013, all-rounder Brenton McDonald became just the second MCC cricketer to win the Jack Ryder medal as the Premier Cricket competition's best player.
