HAVING conquered summer, the A-League has expanded its borders well into autumn in the battle with winter codes AFL and NRL.

SERGIO Garcia has taken his spat with Tiger Woods in an unfortunate direction, making a racially sensitive remark during a dinner.

AUSTRALIAN opener David Warner will make a surprise appearance at tonight's Cricket Australia behavioural hearing in Sydney.

THE Rebels have confirmed the departure of more foundation players, led by captain Gareth Delve, Ged Robinson and Richard Kingi.

UPDATE: SOUTHS won't stand down Queensland Origin forward Ben Te'o despite assault allegations, which Te'o denies.

XXIX Club Annual Dinner

Kerry O'Keefe speaking at the 2011 MCC XXIX Club Annual DinnerOne of the major activities on the MCC XXIX Club calendar is the annual dinner.

Traditionally held during AFL Grand Final week in the Long Room, the function is always an outstanding success.

It brings together past and present XXIX Club members and Premier cricketers in a night of revelry.

The list of guest speakers over the years reads like a “Who’s Who” of Australian cricket, with former Australian leg-spinner and current media personality Kerry O'Keefe our most recent guest.

Previous speakers include Lindsay Hassett, Richie Benaud, Bill O’Reilly, Arthur Morris, Ray Lindwall, Tony Greig, Alan McGilvary, Colin Egar, Doug Walters, Barry Richards, Rod Marsh, Greg Chappell and, of recent years, Mark Taylor, Adam Gilchrist, Ian Healy, Paul Sheahan, Damien Fleming and Stuart MacGill.
