With the northern stand redevelopment of the MCG completed in 2006, MCC members are enjoying some of the finest sporting facilities anywhere in the world.
The keenness of MCC members to belong to their club and retain membership, usually for life, has been a major factor in enabling the club to develop the stadium, until the early nineties, almost exclusively through the use of members' funds.
Membership is highly sought after, with 225,000 people waiting to join the coveted list.
With unrestricted access to interstate and international cricket at the MCG as well as to AFL fixtures at the ground, it's not hard to see why.
