Benefits of Membership

With the northern stand redevelopment of the MCG completed in 2006, MCC members are enjoying some of the finest facilities anywhere in the world.

MCC members have unrestricted access to interstate and international cricket at the MCG as well as to AFL fixtures at the ground, (although Restricted membership does not carry automatic Grand Final attendance rights).

The MCC Members Reserve takes in about 23 per cent of the stadium. It has a comfortable capacity of more than 22,000 and all seats have uninterrupted sight lines.

Match day dining options includes a fine dining experience in the Members Dining Room, a carvery in the Long Room, the bistro-style Hugh Trumble Cafe and a host of bar and casual dining facilities on all levels of the Reserve.

Members can also entertain guests either on match days or during the week. Business and social luncheons at the ground have taken on a new dimension with arena views as a magnificent backdrop to the dining experience. View more details about non-event day dining.

The club also overviews the activities of MCC Cricket and 11 Sporting Sections based away from the MCG, and new members are encouraged to join or support these bodies.

Since foundation in 1838, the club has been mindful of preserving its heritage for posterity. Its collection of sporting artefacts, artworks and literature is a superb reminder of how the MCC and its ground developed in parallel with the city of Melbourne and its sports-minded citizens.

The MCC Museum and Library are outstanding facilities for members. On event days and non-event days they are also accessible to members visiting the ground.

The National Sports Museum is a huge museum and entertainment complex housing the Australian Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum, Sport Australia Hall of Fame, Australian Cricket Hall of Fame, Australian Football Hall of Fame, the country’s finest Aussie Rules collection and thousands of other items never before seen in public. Discount entry to this facility is available to members.

In combination, these features and facilities offer an unbeatable package for the sports enthusiast as a member of the Melbourne Cricket Club.
