IT’S the equine equivalent to the birth of Prince George. Champion mare Black Caviar is attracting attention with the pending arrival of her first foal.

SOME of Zimbabwe’s cricketing paupers can barely put food on the table but they have made Australia’s millionaire men the laughing stock of world cricket.

FIVE losses to the All Blacks is only slightly more glaring on the resume of Wallabies boss Ewen McKenzie than two smackings from the Springboks.

JOSH Reynolds has carried a secret burden this season — supporting his younger brother through serious drug charges which put him behind bars.

ROGER Federer has delivered on a vow made to Queensland sports fans by confirming that he will play his second Brisbane International.

Non-Event Day Dining

One of the lesser-known privileges of being a MCC member is the opportunity to avail yourself and your guests of the top-notch function and dining facilities on offer at the MCG on non-event days.

Members can book fabulous locations such as the Members Dining Room, Long Room or Bullring Bar for private functions with a touch of class. Please note that use of the Long Room for private functions requires approval from the MCC Committee.

An excellent a la carte luncheon is served in the Committee Room on Level 2 of the Members Reserve, adjacent to the Long Room, on all weekday non-event days.

And while you're here, why not treat yourself and your guests to a visit to the National Sports Museum, featuring some of the finest artefacts, people and moments in Australia's sporting history.
