The club has now finalised details of an exciting members’ tour to South Africa later this year, MCC Cricket and Adventure Tour, which is now available for booking by members and their partners/guests.
Departing Melbourne on Monday October 31, the tour provides access to seats and hospitality at the first cricket Test in Cape Town between South Africa and Australia on November 9-13 and visits to several major attractions, including:
- Guided tour to Soweto, including Hector Petersen Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg
- Accommodation and guided game drives in a private Game Reserve
- Three nights at Sun City Resort, Pilanesberg National Park
- Guided tour of Cape Town and winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschoek
- Cable car trip to the top of Table Mountain.
Keen cricket enthusiasts also have the option of staying on to see the second Test in Johannesburg from November 17-21.

INFORMATION EVENING
The club is holding an information evening on Wednesday August 24.
Members can gain a better understanding about the tour itinerary and hear from experienced travellers to South Africa about this wonderful opportunity.
In attendance will be tour manager Peter French, representatives from the club and Glenn Headley, Group managing director of Events Worldwide. Glenn has travelled to South Africa numerous times and will speak about his tour experience and the itinerary.
