A SHORT walk from one of the world’s flashiest cities, a dozen people are crammed into a tiny, squalid room. And it’s for our entertainment.

AT ANY other tournament, Novak Djokovic playing Rafael Nadal would almost certainly be in a final and worthy of blockbuster billing. Not this time.

AUSTRALIAN team doctor Peter Brukner has ruled out opener Chris Rogers for Wednesday’s first Test against West Indies because of concussion.

FAR north Queensland trainer Glen Baker has been banned for two years in Queensland’s first major cobalt suspension.

ANDREW Bogut and his Golden State teammates are preparing for the most daunting task in NBA — stopping four-time MVP LeBron James.

How long must I wait to be a member?

The committee determines the number of candidates it can offer Restricted and Full membership in June/July of each year.

Due to numerous variable factors that are taken into consideration when determining new member intakes each year, it is not possible to estimate exactly how long a candidate on the waiting list will have to wait before they are offered membership.

However, we do know the nomination date of the latest candidates elected to membership in our intake for the 2014/15 season.

All Restricted members who were nominated on the waiting list from January 1, 1990 to April 30, 1990 inclusive will be offered Full membership.

Waiting list candidates nominated from April 1, 1996 to July 31, 1996 inclusive will be offered Restricted membership.

The waiting list, therefore, consists of candidates nominated from August 1, 1996 to today.
