WHETHER by accident or design, in-form Steve Smith is a product of Michael Clarke’s captaincy and Australian cricket is better for it.

YES, we know. New Zealand is on a record ten-game winning streak and beat Australia in the pool stage. But here’s why the World Cup final is a different story.

IMAGINE if Shane Watson won the man of the match award in the World Cup final. It could redefine his entire career. The masses might have to — gulp — applaud him.

ZLATAN Ibrahimovic’s opening goal for Sweden today was brilliant and hilarious, while he also struck from the penalty spot. Wrap of Euro 2016 qualifying here.

KEVIN Muscat says Melbourne Victory players will be “hurting” despite their 2-1 win over Central Coast last night and desperate to prove their worth in next week’s vital clash in Wellington.

How long must I wait to be a member?

The committee determines the number of candidates it can offer Restricted and Full membership in June/July of each year.

Due to numerous variable factors that are taken into consideration when determining new member intakes each year, it is not possible to estimate exactly how long a candidate on the waiting list will have to wait before they are offered membership.

However, we do know the nomination date of the latest candidates elected to membership in our intake for the 2014/15 season.

All Restricted members who were nominated on the waiting list from January 1, 1990 to April 30, 1990 inclusive will be offered Full membership.

Waiting list candidates nominated from April 1, 1996 to July 31, 1996 inclusive will be offered Restricted membership.

The waiting list, therefore, consists of candidates nominated from August 1, 1996 to today.
