RUGBY league’s Sydney powerbase has been given the dream match-up it craved, with the Roosters winning through to a showdown with South Sydney.

STEPHANIE Gilmore’s hatred of losing has put her on a collision course with compatriot Sally Fitzgibbons for surfing’s world crown.

IT has been hyped as one of the biggest heavyweight showdowns of the year and Mark Hunt says he is ready to inflict pain on Roy Nelson in UFC Fight Night Japan.

ALAN Jones has urged the Wallabies to persist with running rugby, hailing it far superior to the past when our young stars “driven to drink”.

FOR the Newington Gunners, a team made up entirely of refugees, Ali Abbas is the perfect role model.

How long must I wait to be a member?

The committee determines the number of candidates it can offer Restricted and Full membership in June/July of each year.

Due to numerous variable factors that are taken into consideration when determining new member intakes each year, it is not possible to estimate exactly how long a candidate on the waiting list will have to wait before they are offered membership.

However, we do know the nomination date of the latest candidates elected to membership in our intake for the 2014/15 season.

All Restricted members who were nominated on the waiting list from January 1, 1990 to April 30, 1990 inclusive will be offered Full membership.

Waiting list candidates nominated from April 1, 1996 to July 31, 1996 inclusive will be offered Restricted membership.

The waiting list, therefore, consists of candidates nominated from August 1, 1996 to today.
