The MCC was last night judged ”Best Club Restaurant” in the 2010 Clubs Victoria Achievement Awards at the Crown Palladium Ballroom.
The club’s high-quality offering to its members and guests - through hospitality partner, Epicure - in the surrounds of the Members Dining Room (match days) and Committee Room (non-match days) secured the title ahead of Barwon Heads Golf Club, RACV City Club, RACV Healesville Country Club, Rosebud Country Club and Sandringham Yacht Club.
The criteria assessment included ambience of the restaurant, innovation, quality and diversity of menus and wine lists, attention to detail with food preparation, staff training/safety and the quality and regularity of functions and events in the restaurant that add value to members.
The win follows the silver medal won by two Epicure chefs from the Committee Room – Adriano Biondi and Blair Humphrey – at the Chef’s Table Awards in June.
