COLLINGWOOD and Essendon is the biggest sporting show in town on Anzac Day, but the Storm insists its annual fixture is also here to stay.

DESPITE his major fall from grace Lance Armstrong admits in a rare interview he still considers himself a Tour de France champion.

WITH just a handful of games left, there are still nine teams battling relegation — and the financial doom that often accompanies it.

MFC/MCC dual membership – message from Jim Stynes

Apr 19, 2011

Jim StynesNow that the season is under way, I want to take the opportunity to acknowledge every MCC member who barracks for Melbourne.

Your support in the stands at our first two home games of the year, and the financial support that many of you provide by purchasing MFC memberships, is all vital to our success.

As a consequence, we are approaching two significant membership milestones.

For the first time ever, we are within reach of signing 10,000 dual MFC/MCC members and, even more significantly, are approaching our target of 40,000 members for season 2011.

If you are yet to purchase an MFC/MCC membership, you can join for just $50 to help us achieve both of these milestones.  Become an MFC/MCC member now.

If you are already a member, we ask that you encourage your friends who are not already members to join - you can even send us their contact details via the ‘Dob in a Demon’ program.

We have some great games at the MCG coming up, including a Friday night game against Carlton in Round 10 and the annual Queen’s Birthday blockbuster against Collingwood in Round 12.

You are supporting the Melbourne Football Club financially every time you scan your MCC membership card to attend one of our home games - not to mention the support that you give us by simply being in the stands.

See you at the footy.

Go Dees!

Dear Jim,
On behalf of my dearly beloved late brother, Ron (who passed away last November - 2010) I would like to thank you for the wonderful inspiration and motivation you provided him during his final months and, through him, the rest of us. We wish you and your family the very best of Health & Happiness.
