Members urged to Dob in a Demon

There is a fresh wave of optimism at Melbourne Football Club as the 2012 AFL season draws near.

A new coach, new captains and a hard summer of pre-season training have the Dees primed for the season proper.

Melbourne FC’s “Dob in a Demon” promotion is back and MCC members could win great prizes just for dobbing in family and friends who support the Dees but are not paid-up members.

The MFC needs your help to get to 40,000 members in 2012, and for doing so you could win fortnightly cash prizes, an iPad or lunch with the entire team.

The member who recruits the most new members will be invited to an exclusive team lunch hosted by new co-captains Jack Grimes and Jack Trengove.

So, put your thinking caps on.  Who do you know that has been hiding their red and blue passion, denying their Demon dedication and needs to be dragged into the Melbourne fold?

Visit the Dob in a Demon page to start dobbing and earning points.

Join the Dees bandwagon

Almost half of the 20,000 MCC members who support Melbourne purchased a dual membership of both the MCC and MFC last season and we hope that number is boosted even further in 2012.

Those looking to pledge their support for the Dees, but who have not yet paid up for this season, can do so by purchasing one of two MFC membership packages.

Members get into the spirit at a 2010 MFC/MCC Game Day LuncheonDual MFC/MCC membership provides the opportunity to attend a range of functions.  The first of these is the MFC/MCC Game Day Luncheon in the Jim Stynes Room at the Round 3 match against Richmond on Saturday April 14.

Members and their guests will enjoy a two-course luncheon, half-time afternoon tea, pre-game beverages and entertainment.  A cash bar will operate during the game and there’s even a reserved seat on Level 2 if you prefer the open air to the theatre-style seating.

Other functions will be held for matches against Carlton (May 27), Richmond (July 7) and St Kilda (August 11), so mark your diaries.

Get on board the Demons bandwagon before it’s overloaded.
