RETIRED Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke will take on one of the biggest challenges of his career since leaving the pitch when he jumps aboard the 100-foot supermaxi Loyal for the 71st Sydney to Hobart.

IT was an odd mixture of disappointment and relief for Michael Hooper after he was issued a one-match suspension by World Rugby for foul play last night.

LESS buzz than a year ago but on-field expectations for Melbourne City are just as high and John van’t Schip’s side look far better equipped for the challenge.

TRAINERS Mick Price and Peter Moody concede favouritism to Press Statement in Saturday’s Caulfield Guineas — but they are not conceding the gun colt victory.
