SOUTH Africa has pulled off the second-biggest run-chase in its one-day international history to sink Australia in their tri-series clash in Harare.

LLEYTON Hewitt has suffered a heavy first-round US Open defeat to complete the worst grand slam season of his celebrated 18-year career.

TOMI Juric and Ante Covic proved the heroes as Western Sydney Wanderers moved into the ACL semi-finals despite losing to Guangzhou Evergrande.

SENNA did it. So did Fangio, Brabham and Schumacher. A third F1 win on bounce at Monza would put Daniel Ricciardo in rare company.

BERNARD Tomic is through to round 2 of the US Open after a straight sets victory over Dustin Brown while Marinko Matosevic was unable to topple five-time champion Roger Federer.
