NICK Kyrgios will be looking to be the first Aussie in a decade to win through to the Australian Open semi-finals. LIVE UPDATES ALL DAY

THE Socceroos are just 90 minutes away from the Asian Cup final, with just United Arab Emirates standing in their way tonight. Here’s how they can do it.

THE ‘precocious, brash, fearless phenomenon’ that is Nick Kyrgios has the UK press nervous ahead of tonight’s showdown with Andy Murray.

DISGRACED cyclist Lance Armstrong says if he could go back in a time machine and be racing in 1995 then he would choose to dope all over again.

THE introduction of James Troisi and Matthew Spiranovic are likely to be Ange Postecoglou’s only changes for Tuesday’s semifinal against UAE.

    The MCG: A Stadium Reborn

"The MCG: A Stadium Reborn" front coverFollowing the successful completion of the MCG redevelopment of the Northern Stands, the MCC has commissioned a 192-page photo essay ‘coffee table’ style book as an official record of the project.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground: A Stadium Reborn’ is a magnificent book authored by Stuart Sykes which shows the ground undergoing significant changes during the three-and-a-half year project.

The book acknowledges the unique history of the MCG, celebrates the stadium’s rebirth as Australia’s premier venue for the 21st century - a process seen through the eyes of several key figures on and off the sporting field - and sets the MCG in the context of contemporary stadium architecture.

Noted photographer, John Gollings, provides stunning photography of the ground while the MCG’s Icon partner, Herald and Weekly Times, have provided valuable assistance towards the completion of this book.

As well as a record of the changes taking place at the ground, the book takes in the AFL Grand Finals staged during the redevelopment, the annual Boxing Day Tests, Anzac Day matches and the Commonwealth Games.

It also showcases some of the events staged soon after the completion of the redevelopment, such as the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2006 Boxing Day Test Match and the Socceroos v Greece match prior to the 2006 World Cup.

MCC members have the opportunity to purchase the book from the club for a discounted rate of $60 inclusive of GST. The book will be available for pick up at the ground or can be posted to members at an additional cost.
