ANGE Postecoglou names four debutants - including 20-year-old left-back Brad Smith, on Liverpool’s books - in a new Socceroos squad.

IT is the off-season and to spice things up NBA teams have sparked an hilarious Twitter war photoshopping players on famous movie posters.

FOUR debutants, some fresh faces, recalls and A-League players: Ange Postecoglou’s mission remains clear as he begins building for the Asian Cup.

AUSTRALIA’S Samantha Stosur has pulled off a major pre-US Open upset, eliminating Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard from the Connecticut Open.

ADAM Scott will contest the Australian Open in November and try to expunge the memory of letting slip victory to Rory McIlroy last year.
