The purpose of the MCC Foundation is to:
Encourage and promote the playing and understanding of sport by promoting, educating, inspiring and providing access to sporting opportunities. The Foundation also promotes the heritage of the MCC and MCG by maintaining and developing its collections and activities. It will also determine allocation of funding and utilisation of property and assets of the MCC Foundation.It has the ability to:
- Provide funding for the operations of MCC Sports and MCC Heritage
- Manage MCC Foundation and MCC Heritage investments
- Provide funding for philanthropic activities having purposes similar in whole or in part to those of MCC Foundation
- Provide funding to develop facilities for the use and enjoyment of MCC members and the general public
