    Disability Access

    In accordance with section 42 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1995 (Vic) and section 8 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, the MCC aims to address its social and legal obligations by recognising that some patrons of the MCG may not have access to events without being accompanied by a companion.

    The Companion Card is accepted at all turnstiles at the MCG. Tickets are available from gate opening time. Customers pre-purchasing event tickets can also use a Companion Card when booking through Ticketek.

    Parking
    Accessible parking is available in Yarra Park, subject to capacity. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit to obtain access.

    Access is via any of the entrances to Yarra Park. For the Great Southern Stand and AFL Members Reserve, enter via Brunton Avenue (Gate 7). For access to the Olympic Stand enter via Punt Road (Gates 5 or 6). For access to the Ponsford Stand or MCC Members Reserve, enter via Wellington Parade South (Gate 3).

    Stadium Access Entrance
    Public access to the Great Southern Stand is via either Gates 4 or 5. Access to the AFL Members Reserve is via Gates 6 and 7 (and only Gate 7 during the cricket season). Access to the MCC Members Reserve is via Gate 2.

    Although there are steps directly in front of Gate 5, access can be obtained by using the graduated walkway in front of Gate 4. Access to Gate 1 is via the Rod Laver Arena footbridge or the ramp on the corner of Jolimont Street and Jolimont Terrace.

    Seating Facilities

    Great Southern Stand
    Wheelchair seating is available in the AFL members and public areas on Levels 1 and 2.

    • Level 1 - in all sections except M1, M2, M17 and M27
    • Level 2 – access to these areas during the football season is restricted to the home club’s season reserved seat members or patrons in level 2 dining rooms. During the cricket season, these spaces are sold as deluxe or premium reserved seats and are available for purchase through Ticketek. For special events, these spaces are sold for the same price as the other seats in the corresponding section.

    Ponsford Stand
    Wheelchair seating is available in the following sections:

    • Level 1 – behind M28, M33, M34, M35 seating
    • Level 2 – behind N29, N34, N35 seating
    • Level 4 – Q34, Q35

    Olympic Stand
    Wheelchair seating is available in the following sections:

    • Level 1 - behind M51 and M54 seating
    • Level 2 - behind N53
    • Level 4 - Q52 and Q53

    MCC Members Reserve
    Wheelchair seating is available in the following sections:

    • Level 1 – M41, 42, 43, 44 and 45
    • Level 2 – N42, 43, 44 and 45
    • Level 4 – Q42, 43, 44 and 45
