    2012 AFL Season

    General information - AFL:

    • Children aged six to 14 as at January 1, 2012 are eligible to purchase a junior ticket.
    • Children aged five and under as at January 1, 2012 are entitled to enter the ground at no charge. However they must not occupy a seat if sitting in a reserved seat area.
    • Persons aged 15 and over as at January 1, 2012 are classified as an adult, unless they hold valid concession identification. (Refer to page 13 of this document for acceptable forms of concession).
    • There are no discounts for group bookings.
    • There are two types of family tickets. One that consists of two adults and two children and one that consists of two adults and one child. Both family ticket types cost the same. Patrons buying a family ticket do not need to be related.
    • Tickets purchased in advance may be collected from the Ticketek Box Office located at Gate 3B on the day of the match. The Ticketek Box Office opens half an hour prior to MCC gate opening time on match days. Patrons must present their account confirmation number or credit card used at the time of purchasing the tickets.
    • Patrons booking via the internet are encouraged to print their tickets using the Ezy Ticket option to avoid potential queing at the ground to collect tickets.
    • Persons with a general admission football club membership card (with entry entitlements) may purchase a reserved seat or premium seat and only pay the seat and fee component of the ticket. Prices are shown for adult, junior and concession club members.


    General information - CRICKET:

    • Children aged 18 months to 15 at the time of purchase are eligible to purchase a child ticket.
    • Children aged 17 months and under are entitled to enter the general admission areas at no charge.
    • Persons aged 16 and over at the time of purchase are classified as an adult, unless they hold valid concession identification.
    • Children over the age of 18 months at the time of purchase must have a seat purchased for them to be able to sit in reserved seat areas.
    • The group price category refers to groups of 10 or more people. 
    • A family ticket comprises:
      • Two (2) adults plus two (2) children aged 15 and under for general reserve/dry areas.
      • Two (2) adults plus two (2) children over 18 months and under 15 years for reserve seating areas.
        Members of this group do not have to be related.
      • Tickets purchased in advance may be collected from the Ticketek Box Office located at Gate 3B on the day of the match.  The Ticketek Box Office opens half an hour prior to MCC gate opening time on match days. Patrons must present their account confirmation number or credit card used at the time of purchasing the tickets.

      • Tickets for Day 5 of the Test match are not sold in advance.
      • Day 3 (Wednesday December 28, 2011) of the Test is Family Day which means one child (aged 15 or under) enters free with a full-priced adult ticket. Tickets (full-priced adult and free child) must be purchased in the same transaction to verify availability (if any). This offer applies to specific sections at the venue and may be limited.
      • Tickets for Sheffield Shield and domestic one-day cup matches can only be purchased on the day of the event at the gate.

      Corporate Hospitality

      Corporate hospitality for all events at the MCG can be booked through the Melbourne Cricket Club. Hospitality options range from shared formal dining to private corporate suites.
