No public car parkingDue to safety and logistical considerations associated with the AFL Footy Festival, as well as for security reasons, there will be no public car parking in Yarra Park on grand final day.
However, a limited number of spaces will be available for disability permit holders via Gate 5 from 4.00am.
Please take public transport to the MCG, or park elsewhere, including at Le Garage (114 Flinders St) at a discounted rate of $8 by scanning your membership card at the pay station.
Arrive earlySecurity measures such as bag checks and patron scanning will again be in place as members make their way into the MCC Reserve.
This process will take time, so please be patient - and limit the number of bags you bring. Each bag will be inspected, so the more bags you bring the longer it will take.
Entry for children under sixChildren aged 3-5 will be able to access unreserved seating areas only on levels 1 and 4 of the Reserve, if accompanied by a Full member. Note: Reserved seat holders cannot bring a child older than two and sit them on their lap in a reserved seat.
Members will be required to obtain a ticket for the child prior to entry from the membership services windows. The child's proof of age will be required.
Children aged two and under (babes in arms) will not require a ticket and can sit on the lap of an adult in any seating area in the Reserve.
DiningThe Members Dining Room and Jim Stynes Grill are booked out.
Note: Diners in the Members Dining Room will NOT be issued reserved seats for the grand final. However, those dining in the Jim Stynes Grill will be able to utilise the behind-glass seating in the room to view the match.
Long RoomThe Long Room will be open for breakfast (8.00am-9.30am), with the usual carvery served from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Restricted membersWhile club rules do not provide for Restricted members’ entry to the MCC Members Reserve at the AFL Grand Final, the club is mindful of its responsibility to utilise the Reserve to its full capacity.
If the club believes the Members Reserve will not reach capacity, it may consider allowing Restricted members access to purchase an entry ticket to the game.
The club will monitor walk-up attendance throughout Saturday morning and give Full members every opportunity to fill the Reserve before making a decision on allowing Restricted members access to purchase an entry ticket to the game. View further details
Bicycle parkingPatrons are asked to refrain from locking their bicycle up on the MCG concourse, or in an area that is likely to cause an obstruction or is too close to congested queues or crowds of people.
Any bicycle deemed to meet the above criteria will be removed and stored inside the MCG for a patron to collect after the match.
There are approximately 80 bike hoops in Yarra Park, with most of those close to the concourse. View a map of bike hoop locations
