Playing alongside modern greats such as Karen Rolton, Belinda Clark and Cathryn Fitzpatrick, Jones played in a dominant era of Australian cricket internationally and will present an oration not to be missed.
Responding to Mel Jones’ toast will be Morne Morkel. Morne is a South African former cricketer who played international cricket between 2006 and 2018. He is a right-arm fast bowler and lower order left-handed batsman. He made his test debut in 2006 and went on to play 86 Test matches for the South African cricket team. He became the fifth bowler to take 300 Test wickets for South Africa and played in 117 One Day Internationals and 44 T20 International matches, making his debut in both formats in 2007. He has had a number of achievement’s across international cricket as well as commentating and we look forward to hearing his insights at the 2022 Members’ Dinner.
The dinner will include canapes upon arrival in the Long Room, followed by a three-course dinner inclusive of beverages (beer, wine and sparkling).
This member-only function is open to Full, Restricted and Provisional members and is a must for all cricket enthusiasts.
