Members’ arrangements: BBL|10

The MCG will host six matches in the tenth season of the KFC Big Bash League, including four home matches for the Melbourne Stars and a double header on Australia Day.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Members’ Reserve for the upcoming summer of cricket. Here's everything you need to know about members’ arrangements for the Big Bash League at the MCG.

The Members’ Reserve will be fully ticketed

Similar to arrangements for the 2020 Boxing Day Test, our COVIDSafe plans dictate that all patrons at the ground and in the Members’ Reserve must have a pre-booked reserved ticket. This means that there will be no walk-up opportunity for members at this summer’s BBL matches.

Victorian public health officials have advised that the upcoming BBL matches scheduled at the MCG and Marvel Stadium will be capped at 15,000 patrons. Capacity has been limited in the interests of protecting public health and delivering a safe environment for all patrons.

In a further measure, and as a result of various state border closures and related impacts, seven BBL matches have been relocated, including a change to scheduled games at the MCG.

The previously fixtured game between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at the MCG on Thursday January 21 will now be played at Adelaide Oval. Members and patrons who had purchased tickets to this match will receive a refund via Ticketek.

The MCG will instead host a match between Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes on Sunday January 24 at 7.15pm, with tickets to be made available from 9am AEDT, Thursday January 14.

Other information

Only members and Annual Guest Card Holders who have been successful in securing tickets will have their membership cards activated to scan into the Members’ Reserve. If successful in securing a ticket, you will receive your digital ticket directly from Ticketek, that will allocate you a section and row within the Members’ Reserve, not a specific seat. Visitor tickets will also include the above information and will be used for entry at the turnstiles.

Under our COVIDSafe plans, you will be required to physically distance from other groups of members or individuals within your row. Tickets cannot be transferred to other members, as their membership card will not be activated for entry.
