Soccer blockbuster on Friday night

Some of world football's biggest names will grace the MCG on Friday June 9 in a powerhouse match-up between Brazil and Argentina.

The MCG match will see the two South American nations play in the SuperClasico de las Americas, an annual contest between the teams that has been staged since 2011.

For Lionel Messi, it will be the Argentinian star's first visit to the MCG since he destroyed the Socceroos as a 20-year-old in front of 70,171 fans in 2007.

Access to the Reserve

All categories of members and their guests will be able to access the MCC Members Reserve for this event.

However, as was the case at other special events in recent years, members will be required to pay a subsidised admission fee of $50 in order for their membership card to scan at Gate 2.

Note: 50-year and Honorary Life members do not need to purchase an entitlement for entry. Fifty-year members will have access to the John Landy Room and their reserved seating area on Level 2 in Bay N42.  Members will be able to introduce one guest into both areas.
