Meaning Sacred Ground in Woi-Wurrung language, the room honours the traditional custodians of the land on which the MCG stands - the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung People of the Kulin Nation - and reflects the significance of the surrounding landscape, now known as Yarra Park.

Since time immemorial this has been a meeting place - a hallowed place where people come together, connections are formed, and memories are created.

The room features designs, artwork and stories which reflect and celebrate the rich culture and history of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Peoples.
