When purchasing tickets, please ensure that you purchase the correct ticket type for you and your guests based on age.

2025 Member Disciplinary Committee Meetings
The majority of member discipline cases throughout the AFL season have been members, or guests of members misusing their membership cards or ticketing privileges. These instances include:
- Non-members using membership cards to gain entry to the Reserve
- Adults using child tickets to enter the Reserve
The average length of suspension for these penalties is 24 months.
An important reminder that membership cards are strictly non-transferable.
The final MDC meeting for the year saw a number of member misconduct cases following the AFL Finals and Grand Final. A reminder to all members to review the Code of Conduct and ensure they and their guests are familiar with it. We look forward to welcoming all patrons back to the MCG for an exciting Ashes Series and Summer of Cricket.
The October meeting also saw a significant number of card misuse and ticketing issues over a very busy AFL Finals period. A reminder to all members that your membership card is strictly non-transferable.
The September meeting again saw a large number of card misuse and ticketing issues across a busy end of season match day period.
Another big meeting in August which saw a significant number of card misuse and ticketing infractions. Majority of these cases related to Members' Reserve upgrade ticket misuse.
This meeting saw several cases for waiting list candidates, as well as a mix of membership card misuse and member reserve upgrade ticket misuse.
A reminder for those on the waiting list that they are subject to the Club rules when accessing the Members' Reserve.
This meeting saw an increase in the number of underage patrons with fake identifications (IDs). The use of a fake IDs in a licenced premise is strictly prohibited.
We remind all members and their guests of the seriousness of this breach.
Another busy month in May that was heavily skewed with card misuse and member reserve seat upgrade ticket misuse.
A large number of cases in April as we launched into the AFL season for 2025 with some very busy matches, including a triple header and a quadruple header weekend. There were over 10 cases of misconduct, but the meeting was strongly dominated by card misuse and member upgrade ticketing misuse. The trend of member reserve seat upgrades tickets (which are linked to a membership) attempted to be used by non-members to gain access to the Members’ Reserve continued to be a key theme.
The Member Discipline Committee wish to highlight to members the importance of keeping your barcode secure and using your membership card to scan in for entry at Gate 2.
Less cases were seen during March due to limited number of matches, with the majority of cases related to member misconduct.
Most cases heard at this meeting were related to membership card or ticketing misuse over the cricket season, with the most common penalty duration being 24 months. There was a notable trend in misuse of ticketing privileges with Members' Reserve seat upgrade tickets (which are linked to a membership) attempted to be used by non-members to gain access to the Members’ Reserve.
A reminder that if you are a member, the only way to enter the Reserve is by using your member card.
