Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for Overseas membership, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be currently residing outside of Australia.
- Have departed Australia prior to the start of the membership season (September 1).
- Submit your application using the Overseas Membership Online Form.
How to Apply
To apply for Overseas membership, you must provide the following:
- A valid overseas residential address and your preferred postal address (this can be an Australian address).
- Your departure date from Australia and estimated return date.
- Supporting documentation confirming your overseas residence (e.g. utility bill, lease or rental agreement, employment contract), dated within the past month.
Once approved, your membership will be placed on the Overseas list and your membership card will be deactivated for the duration of your time abroad.
Temporary visits to Australia
MCC Overseas members may regain temporary access to Club facilities and entitlements if returning to Australia for a visit of up to six consecutive weeks.
To activate your membership during this time:
- Email membership@mcc.org.au with a copy of your flight itinerary showing both arrival and departure dates.
- Once verified, your membership will be temporarily reactivated for the duration of your stay (up to six weeks).
- Please ensure this is done before attempting to purchase visitor tickets via Ticketek, as your membership barcode must be active for access.
- Overseas membership does not include access to matches.
Returning to Live in Australia?
If you are resuming permanent residence in Australia:
- Notify the Club to update your details and membership classification.
- A pro-rata fee will be charged to reactivate your full membership entitlements for the remainder of the season.
- Once your address is updated and payment is received, your membership will be fully reactivated.
