Medals galore for our members at the Comm Games

The Melbourne Cricket Club is proud to celebrate the nine members who represented Australia at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, held from July 23 to August 2.
Six of our members returned home with a medal, with swimming delivering the biggest haul. Sam Williamson completed a breaststroke double (gold in the 100m and 50m) plus two relay golds, a remarkable comeback from a career-threatening knee injury. Matthew Temple won two golds in the medley relays and silver in the 100m butterfly.
On the track, Abbey Caldwell won gold and Claudia Hollingsworth bronze in the women's Mile, while Sarah Billings claimed bronze in the 800m. On the court, Jo Weston helped the Diamonds to netball bronze.
