MCC members recognised in 2026 Australia Day Honours

The Melbourne Cricket Club would like to congratulate its members who were recognised for their service in the 2026 Australia Day Honours List.
Members were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions across a wide range of fields, including public service, professional leadership, community engagement and sport.
Among those recognised was Anthony Ray Burgess, who was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to business, tertiary education, philanthropic corporate governance and benefaction, and to the arts.
Brian Maxwell Tress was also appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to neuroradiology medicine, interventional and diagnostic radiography, and for his leadership in the introduction of new imaging technologies in Australia.
Several members were awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for their long-standing contributions to their professions and communities, reflecting the breadth of expertise within the MCC community.
The MCC would like to congratulate all members for their recognition and thank them for their outstanding contribution to the community.
