Maddie Hooker of Team Australia competes in cross-country skiing during Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

The Melbourne Cricket Club is proud to celebrate three members who represented Australia at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, held from February 6-22.

Maddie Hooker

Maddie made her Olympic debut at Milan Cortina in cross-country skiing, competing in four events: the Women's 10km + 10km Skiathlon, the Women's 10km Free, the Women's 4 x 7.5km Relay and the Women's Sprint Classic. At just 21 years old, her debut was highlighted by her performance in the Skiathlon – the first time she had ever raced the event.

Harry Laidlaw

Harry returned to the Olympic stage for the first time since his debut at PyeongChang 2018, competing in the Alpine Skiing Men's Giant Slalom. His selection was a reward for eight years of persistence after several challenging injuries.

Cameron Bolton

Cam was selected for his fourth consecutive Winter Olympic Games, competing in Snowboard Cross and the Mixed Team Cross. Born in Melbourne and raised on the Mornington Peninsula, he has been one of Australia's most consistent winter athletes across more than a decade of World Cup competition, winning multiple medals, including gold in the mixed team event in 2025. Unfortunately, Cam suffered a serious training accident in the days before his event and was unable to compete.

The MCC congratulates Madeleine, Harry and Cameron on their outstanding achievements and on representing Australia at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
