The Melbourne Cricket Club has named its men's and women's squads to face the National Indigenous Development Squads at the Melbourne Cricket Ground this November.

The matches form part of the annual MCG Training Camp, delivered by the MCC Foundation and Cricket Australia, which runs from November 21 to 25 on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country. The camp brings together First Nations cricketers from across Australia for a week of training, cultural exchange and competitive cricket.

The MCC men’s and women’s squads will each play a T20 match against the visiting squads on Tuesday November 24.

MCC player and first-time participant Kyle Williamson said:

“Playing on the MCG is something most people can only dream of and something I’m still getting my head around. It’s going to feel pretty surreal, and I’m sure it will feel the same for many of the NICC players.

“The training camp is a great opportunity for the NICC players to showcase their skills as they progress through the ranks. There are some very talented players in these squads, and I know our MCC teams are looking forward to testing ourselves against them.
