We’ve upgraded our websites! Here’s what you need to know

Featured news article

The MCC is proud to launch its upgraded MCC and MCG websites.

Our websites are the primary digital resource used to access the MCC, the MCG and the Australian Sports Museum. From planning a match day visit to managing membership, these websites play an essential role in our guests’ experiences.

Why did we make these changes?

We are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our members, guests and patrons on event days and beyond. This includes the online experience via our social channels and websites.

The decision to upgrade the websites was based on feedback from multiple stakeholders, including members. The goal was to create world-class websites to match our world-class stadium and Club.

What to expect

When you visit the new MCC website, you will notice a cleaner design, simpler navigation and smarter tools to help you find what you need including:

Multi-factor authentication

To ensure your details remain safe and secure, you’ll now be prompted to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access your MCC account. You may recognise this from logging into accounts like your bank or government services.

After entering your member number and password, you’ll receive a one-time code sent to your email or mobile phone. Enter this code to complete your login.

How to login with MFA

  1. Go to the MCC website and click ‘sign in’ (located in the top right
    corner).
  2. Enter your member number and password and click ‘sign in’.
  3. A new screen will prompt you to choose to receive your verification code by
    email or SMS.
  4. A new screen will confirm where your code will be sent. Click ‘send verification
    code’.
  5. Check your inbox or phone for the one-time code (valid for a short time).
  6. Enter the code and click ‘verify’.
  7. Once verified, click ‘continue’ to access your MCC account.

Email preferences

With these updates, you now have more control of your email preferences.

To update your preferences, on the top right-hand side of your member portal, select “My MCC” → “Profile → “Communication preferences.”

From here, you will be able to select the type of emails you receive. Please note, if you select ‘no’ to all email preferences, you will still receive administrative emails such as renewal fees.

New stadium map

A new MCG stadium map allows you to:

  • find your seating section and pin it
  • discover the nearest food, beverage and stadium facilities
  • locate services like Parents’ Rooms or the Sensory Friendly Space
  • search by keyword (e.g. “bar,” “chips”)

Upgraded events calendar

An upgraded MCG events calendar now allows you to select any future date to see what’s on. This helps you plan your visit across major events, including the AFL and cricket, as well as non-match day experiences such as the Australian Sports Museum, MCG Tours, or dining in the Committee Room.

You will also enjoy a more personalised and intuitive experience with relevant event information based on your membership type, real-time updates on bookings and registrations, and improved search and filtering to easily find events or matches of interest.

Online user experience

We have also added several features to improve the online experience:

  • Digitised resources: Season guides and member arrangements for AFL and cricket are now available online for quick reference.
  • Smarter online forms: Member details are automatically pre-filled into forms to save time and reduce errors.
  • Enhanced search tools: An improved search function and FAQs library allows members to quickly locate key information.

We will continue to upgrade and add new functionality to the websites based on user feedback and evolving needs.

If you would like to provide feedback or have further questions, please send us an email via membership@mcc.org.au.
