For more than three decades, The Yorker has been the written source of some of sport’s greatest treasures, exploring unique stories and milestones - many that have never previously been told in such detail.
The Yorker was originally created as an MCC resource to share book reviews and over time, MCC Library staff and volunteers have helped it evolve into a publication dedicated to sports literature and research that is read and referenced by MCC members, industry peers and members of the media.
Delivery: The Best of the Yorker is more than a compilation book, it preserves the essence of the MCC Library and its work in the one place and showcases the publication’s ability to capture everything we love about sport – from the treasures that exist from generations of cricket and AFL, to the oddities, the pieces of sporting history that deserve their own chapter among everything else.
As MCC Librarian Trevor Ruddell states, it is a privilege to be among these stories every day and be part of something so unique to the Club, its members, and the broader sporting community.
Delivery: Best of the Yorker is available for purchase via the MCG Shop.
