Celebrate the best of The Yorker at the MCC Library

The MCC Library is a cherished part of the Members’ Reserve – a space for research, reflection, and a gateway to historical treasures only found at a place like the MCG.
The Library’s own publication, The Yorker, captures the essence of what imbues this place with a sense of significance.
The Melbourne Cricket Club is proud to launch ‘Delivery: the best of The Yorker’, a hardcover publication featuring the best articles from the Club’s heritage magazine produced by the MCC Library over the past 25 years.
The Yorker has become a showcase for research articles, heritage feature stories and book reviews, targeted at a range of audiences including MCC members, sport historians, media, tourists and fans.
‘Delivery: the best of The Yorker’, captures and celebrates the sporting history and heritage of both the MCC and MCG. As a sporting club at heart, the MCC helps to preserve and articulate the stories that deserve to be told across generations.
To celebrate this release, all MCC members are invited to the MCC Library on Wednesday July 22 to hear from the voices behind this publication – MCC Deputy Librarian and historian Trevor Ruddell, and MCC Library Manager Kyleigh Langrick. During the afternoon function you will learn more about the editing process and what it took to curate a best of The Yorker publication with content from across multiple decades.
This book launch is part of the 2026 MCC Library Footy Series of book functions across July, August and September.
