2026 MCC Library Footy Series

The MCC Library will host three events as part of its 2026 Footy Series, with all MCC members having the unique opportunity to hear from a range of authors, editors and publishers across the current AFL season.

Event 1

Delivery: the best of The Yorker

To start the series off, members will have a chance to celebrate the MCC’s publication of ‘Delivery: the best of The Yorker’, a compilation of the popular heritage magazine’s most popular articles over the past 25 years.

‘Delivery’ bringing together highlights from across the years, celebrating football, culture, and the rich stories preserved within the MCC Library.

Event 2

Deal Maker

Then, on August 19, members will have the opportunity to hear from talent consultant Scott Clayton, and award-winning journalist Peter Ryan, authors of ‘Deal Maker: The Secret World of AFL Recruiting and Trading’.

‘Deal Maker’ goes behind the scenes of some of the AFL’s biggest trades and the process behind securing some of the most talked about deals in the league’s history.

Event 3

My Family’s Journey

And finally, the magic of September at the MCG begins with a special function featuring Collingwood legend Peter Daicos.

A household name within the football community, Peter Daicos uncovers the depths of his life across football, family and heritage in his book ‘My Family’s Journey’.

Hear from Peter as he shares the fascinating history of his sporting family and the moments that shaped him through his early life and football career.
